Benjamin Y. Movtady is an associate in the firm's Real Estate Department. Mr. Movtady’s practice area is concentrated mostly on commercial real estate transactions in New York and throughout the United States, representing owner-developers and private investors with particular focus on the purchase and sale of office buildings, apartment complexes, apartment buildings, mixed-use facilities, retail and commercial condominiums, shopping centers, industrial buildings, hotels and development sites. Mr. Movtady also represents buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions.
Mr. Movtady graduated from Boston University (B.A. 2007), where he majored in History and minored in Business Administration. After graduation, Mr. Movtady enrolled at Pace University School of Law, where he earned his degree in 2010 after serving as Vice President of the Student Bar Association. Before joining Meister Seelig & Fein LLP, Mr. Movtady was an associate at the boutique real estate firm of Cohen and Frankel LLP. He is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey.
