Meister Seelig & Fein is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join their New York office.

The IT Specialists primary role will be:

  • Provide deskside support on various applications, including MS Office Suite, Windows, Digital File, Internet, Intranet, voicemail/Unified Messaging, email, and proprietary applications.
  • Provide deskside support on various hardware, including printers, telephones, SmartPhone devices, mobile PCs, desktops, monitors, and other peripherals. This includes preparation and installation of mobile PCs and desktops and working with vendors to maintain/fix equipment.
  • Installation of pre-approved software and hardware.
  • Provide level two support on office issues.
  • Assist with information gathering, communication, or as requested in the resolution of escalated problems.
  • Proactively learn about current and newly released applications.
  • Report unusual, alarming, or recurring problems to the appropriate to Manager when necessary.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all Firm deployed applications.
  • Manage IT hardware assets.
  • Responsible for distribution pool of loaner laptops and other equipment.
  • Assist in system related maintenance as requested, and provide assistance in testing new or upgraded applications.
  • Set up videoconferences and presentations for the local office.
  • Provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
  • Occasionally travel to other offices as needed for special projects, coordinating IT services for newly acquired or opened offices, or providing coverage when another office is short staffed.
  • Special projects as requested by the Director of Operations (IT)..
  • After-hours and weekend availability to assist with system maintenance, and projects as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between multiple offices.

Qualifications

  • Preferred 3+ years of general IT support experience in the legal environment.
  • Working knowledge of applications and technologies, including but not limited to DMS, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Citrix, popular web conferencing software, and enterprise service management experience.
  • Knowledge and support of various mobile devices and platforms.
  • Knowledge of hardware (desktop/laptop) deployment methods using an image deployment tool.
  • Knowledge of AV/Video Conference room setups and support
  • Experience with Virtual Meeting platforms (Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to handle conflict and difficult situations within a technical and client service environment.
  • Exceptional communication abilities to all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology within a professional services organization.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose, organize, and prioritize competing deadlines and properly setting service expectations with clients.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to execute tasks and make decisions in a high-pressure environment.

Job Type: Full-time – NYC Office

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
