Overview
Alex Locke is an accomplished advisor in intellectual property, technology, and commercial transactions. He counsels clients across a wide range of industries, including media, gaming, entertainment, consumer products, fashion, financial services, and emerging technologies. His practice focuses on brand licensing, software creation and commercialization, SaaS and platform agreements, and the structuring of complex IP and commercial deals. His experience spans gaming, Web3, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and other emerging technologies.
Mr. Locke has negotiated a wide range of commercial agreements, including inbound and outbound IP licenses, talent and influencer deals, sponsorships, SaaS and enterprise software transactions, and sourcing and manufacturing arrangements.
He regularly advises on content production and distribution, merchandising, live and experiential events, digital platform operations, generative AI integrations, promotions and marketing, data privacy, and platform compliance.
Mr. Locke previously served as General Counsel of a high-growth media and technology company, where he led legal, regulatory, and risk functions and provided strategic counsel on operations, partnerships, and product development. He also practiced in the IP and technology transactions group at an Am Law 50 firm. In addition, he is the founder of a multimillion-dollar consumer product licensing company that introduced a novel model for digital asset commercialization. Mr. Locke works with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies and major financial institutions, providing both transactional support and broader legal guidance that aligns with their business objectives.
