Overview
Marie A. Kessel is an Associate in the Intellectual Property Group at Meister Seelig & Schuster PLLC, focusing on trademark and copyright matters, as well as corporate law and litigation. She has experience working with different groups within the firm, honing experience in multiple practice areas.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Kessel gained valuable experience as a Summer Associate at MSS. She also has previous experience as a Legal Extern at the New York City Law Department’s Environmental Law Division, where she worked at the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, and as a Summer Associate and Legal Intern at Lee Anav Chung White Kim Ruger & Richter LLP, where she gained valuable experience in commercial litigation.
Ms. Kessel earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Information Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she focused on Art Law, specifically, authentication, valuation, and ethics. She has long had an interest in intellectual property and authored multiple publications on IP-related topics.
