A commercial litigator, Mr. Friedman has vast experience in all aspects of business litigation. He has worked on numerous major multi-state litigations for various institutional and individual clients, first as an Associate at a major international law firm and, since 1994, as a Partner at MSS, of which he is a Co-Founder.
Mr. Friedman’s practice area focuses in large part on business and general contract disputes involving individuals and affiliated entities, corporate control disputes, commercial real estate and lender liability disputes and other forms of complex litigation involving insurance, employment, telecommunications, defamation and related first amendment matters.
Mr. Friedman has substantial experience in appellate practice, arbitration and mediation in New York State and Federal Courts, as well as in other jurisdictions throughout the United States.

Prior to forming MSS in 1994, Mr. Friedman was an Associate for 5 years at Rogers & Wells (now known as Clifford Chance). While in law school, Mr. Friedman interned for the Hon. Leonard D. Wexler, United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of New York.
Represented junior mezzanine lenders in dispute with senior lenders in case involving the parties’ rights and obligations in connection with default of a multi-billion-dollar loan and the parties’ priority of claims against guarantors.
Represented a real estate private equity firm in dispute regarding enforceability of letter of intent to purchase commercial office building in New York City.
Represented client faced with class action lawsuit seeking millions of dollars alleging violation of the Federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Represented wine auction house in dispute concerning allegations of sales of counterfeit wine.
Represented condominium board in dispute with developer/sponsor regarding alteration of access to fitness center.
Represent auto parts distributor in action against competitor and former employees in action alleging violation of non-compete agreement.
