Meister Seelig & Schuster, PLLC Partners Jeffrey Schreiber and Kevin Fritz successfully represented XTECH Protective Equipment
New York, NY – November 12, 2018 – Meister Seelig & Schuster, PLLC announced that Litigation Partners Jeffrey Schreiber and Kevin Fritz successfully represented XTECH Protective Equipment, a manufacturer of cutting-edge-design shoulder pads used by many NFL and NHL teams, and XTECH’S principals on their pre-answer motion to dismiss claims asserted against them in New Jersey State Court, which was granted in toto. Impact Protective Equipment had sued XTECH and its principals, as well as the New York Giants, alleging ten different causes of action against MSS’s clients, and three against the Giants, who were separately represented, including claims that XTECH had supposedly stolen Impact’s shoulder pad designs, misappropriated other Impact proprietary information and otherwise engaged in unfair competition, and that the Giants had facilitated XTECH’s allegedly unlawful behavior. MSS successfully procured the dismissal of all causes of action, prior to any discovery being exchanged, an extraordinarily rare result in New Jersey State Court.
