Partners Michael E. Ratner, Esq. and Samuel J. Ferrara, Esq. have published a new article, “Parent Education 2025: An Update on PEACE After COVID-19,” in Hofstra Law School’s Spring 2025 Family Law blog.
The article provides an in-depth look at how the PEACE (Parent Education and Custody Effectiveness) program has evolved in the post-pandemic era. Originally launched in Nassau County more than 30 years ago, PEACE remains a cornerstone of parent education in New York, helping separating and divorcing parents better understand the legal, emotional, and child-focused aspects of custody and visitation disputes.
Now offered virtually, the program continues to be led by a volunteer team of judges, attorneys, and mental health professionals—and has served over 9,000 participants to date.
