Meister Seelig & Schuster, PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of partners Henry Mazurek and Evan Lipton to the MSS team. Mr. Mazurek and Mr. Lipton are accomplished trial attorneys with extensive experience in the areas of criminal defense, crisis management, regulatory enforcement, and internal investigations. They join MSS to build its newest practice group and re-confirm MSS’s commitment as being a full-service, entrepreneurial law firm that provides its business and individual clients with innovative legal strategies and no-nonsense advice from nationally-recognized legal professionals.

MSS is excited to welcome Henry Mazurek as chair of its Criminal Defense and Government Investigations practice group. Mr. Mazurek joins MSS as a recognized force in the courtroom. The New York Times recently described his cross-examinations at trial as “aggressive” and “vigorous, often vitriolic attacks.” Mr. Mazurek has achieved tremendous results for his clients both in and out of the courtroom through unrelenting advocacy and genuine care. His reputation for being one of New York’s most talented trial lawyers has enabled him to reach favorable resolutions for clients at all stages of representation. He recently obtained a full acquittal in federal court for a client charged in an elaborate assault
and kidnapping scheme involving religious figures in Brooklyn and New Jersey. In an even more recent federal trial, involving high-profile federal public corruption charges, Mr. Mazurek and Mr. Lipton successfully represented their client to a hung jury that later resulted in a favorable settlement. Mr. Mazurek has also won substantial legal victories in suppression of evidence hearings and convinced prosecuting authorities not to bring charges in several complex “white collar” investigations.

Evan Lipton also joins MSS as a partner in its Criminal Defense and Government Investigations practice group. Mr. Lipton is another accomplished trial lawyer who has obtained positive client outcomes in a wide range of criminal matters. He has successfully defended clients in all aspects of federal and state criminal law, including allegations of securities fraud, health care fraud, public corruption, sexual assault, narcotics distribution, weapons possession, money laundering, and homicide. Mr. Lipton’s cases have been profiled in national newspapers and magazines. His recent trial acquittal in a homicide case was featured on Dateline NBC and 48 Hours.
