Meister Seelig & Schuster Secures Complete Defense Victory Following Three-Day Bench Trial in Fraudulent Conveyance Action
Meister Seelig & Schuster (MSS) Partners Michael Regan and Thomas Cassone secured a complete defense victory following a three-day bench trial in M13 & M15 Holdings, LLC v. Jennifer Athanson and Michael Athanson in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, New York County.
The plaintiff sought to hold MSS’s clients personally liable for commercial lease obligations, asserting fraudulent conveyance claims and seeking to pierce the corporate veil of the tenant entity.
The trial was held over three days before the Honorable Arlene P. Bluth. Following the presentation of testimony, expert evidence and post-trial submissions, the Court found in favor of MSS’s clients and dismissed the case in its entirety.
The victory reflects MSS’s continued strength in handling complex commercial disputes and defending clients against significant claims through trial.
